High-Performance Neo4j Hosting

Deploy Neo4j on enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure with the speed, scale, and reliability your graph applications demand.

Neo4j empowers organizations to transform tangled data into clear, connected insights. Run advanced queries, visualize intricate relationships, and power intelligent applications like fraud detection and intelligent recommendations, all from Kamatera’s secure, elastic cloud platform.

Neo4j is built for performance, but it requires high-speed memory and storage to navigate complex relationships instantly. Kamatera provides the dedicated resources necessary to eliminate latency in your graph queries.

Neo4j
  • Our hourly billing is perfect for powering up a high-resource server for an intensive graph analytics job and scaling it back down once the results are exported.
  • 20+ global data centers lets you place your Neo4j instance in the same “availability zone” as your application servers.
  • NVMe SSD storage gives you ultra-low latency for disk-intensive ACID operations and data loading.
  • With our scalable storage, seamlessly add block storage as your graph grows from millions to billions of nodes and relationships.

What is Neo4j hosting?

Neo4j hosting refers to the server environment and infrastructure used to run the Neo4j graph database. Because Neo4j processes complex data relationships in real-time, its hosting requirements are different from standard databases. It needs high-speed memory (RAM) for its page cache and fast storage (NVMe SSDs) to navigate billions of data connections without latency.

What are the minimum server requirements for Neo4j?

The hardware requirement guidelines for cloud environments are:

CPU: 2vCPU minimum, 16+ recommended.
Memory: 2GB minimum. Actual requirements depend on workloads. In some cases, it is recommended to use instances with memory that fits the size of the graph in use.
Storage: 10GB minimum block storage, attached NVMe SSD recommended. Storage size depends on the size of the databases.

For more detailed information, refer to the Neo4j system requirements.

What are the primary use cases for Neo4j?

Neo4j is the industry standard for managing highly connected data. Typical use cases include fraud detection (identifying suspicious patterns in financial transactions), recommendation engines (providing real-time “customers also bought” suggestions), identity and access management, and supply chain optimization where tracking dependencies is critical.

What makes Neo4j different from traditional databases?

Neo4j is a graph database management system designed to treat relationships between data points as being just as important as the data itself.

The primary difference lies in how connections are handled. In a traditional database, connecting data across different tables requires complex and resource-heavy JOIN operations that slow down as the dataset grows. Neo4j uses index-free adjacency, meaning each data point points directly to its related neighbors. This allows it to navigate millions of connections per second with consistent performance, regardless of the total size of the database.

What kind of customer support can I expect from Kamatera?

Kamatera provides round-the-clock customer service to help you resolve your queries quickly. Our support desk is open 24/7/365 to ensure that you can always reach a human being that is available and capable of assisting you.

Can I upgrade and downgrade my server specifications?

Yes. One of Kamatera’s core features is instant scaling. You can adjust your vCPU, RAM, and storage up or down instantly through our management console to match the evolving needs of your AlmaLinux deployment, ensuring you only pay for what you use.

What are the terms of the free trial?

During the 30-day trial period, you may create one server with a configuration costing up to $100.

You will have 1 TB of free traffic (including both inbound and outbound traffic). Customers must provide a valid credit card to start the trial, but the card will not be charged if you stay within the usage limits stated above.

If you wish to cancel the free trial, you can simply terminate your server without incurring any charges. However, if you do not cancel before the trial ends, we will begin charging for services used.

Which payment methods do you accept?

We accept all types of credit and debit cards that contain a cardholder’s name, including virtual, prepaid, and electronic cards.

For customers whose accounts are in “deposit mode,” meaning they need to keep a prepaid running balance in their account, we accept credit cards or PayPal.
